Went to Chevys at Carlisle this past weekend. A great show. Lots of late 60's/early 70's GM muscle cars with a focus on Novas. Nova back in the day was not a favorite but you could get a 350 4 speed pretty cheap and they would fly. Did buy a 77 Corvette sales brochure to go along with my original window sticker, owners manual and assorted other original papers. The highlight of the show was the UMI suspension people autocross course. They took you around two laps of the course in some highly modified cars. I rode in a 2010 Camaro with 425 horses at the rear. A buddy rode in a Lemans with an LS motor pulling 535 horses. The ride was a blast and free! The Carlisle people have this show business down to an art. Only thing I didn't like was tipping to go to the bathroom.
I was at the show and it was a bust!
The first picture is Saturday at 2018 Chevy at Carlisle and the second is 2010 Corvette at Carlisle. Vendors and cars were down 75%.
I cannot speak to other shows as this was the first I attended. I found several vendors with Corvette stuff which surprised me .I was also pleasantly surprised by the number of Corvettes present. I did not expect any since the Corvette show is in August . A little rain Friday and poured late in the afternoon . We certainly enjoyed ourselves and are planning to go back. To each his own .
Gusto: Afraid the Corvette show would be a budget buster .Thanks for the info. Thinking the huge crowds and many many more vendors would overload these aged senses.

That's why you need to pace yourself. Plan to spend at least two days. Thursday's and Friday's are good days, the crowds are not nearly as bad as Saturday. Plus, by Saturday most of the good deals have been gotten or have been scarfed up by another vendor and now have a higher price on them.
But seriously just meeting all the major vendors and seeing all that they have to offer as well as meet some terrific industry folks. It really is like nothing else. I wouldn't call it Corvette nirvana, but it's close...
Good luck and hope to see you there.
