I'm still looking to buy this 1969 Corvette Coupe, but here's my question.
The car was restored about 8 years ago they put a crate 350 motor in it along with a 700r4 transmission, I know neither one of those are matching numbers so I'm just curious is the 700r4 a good swap.
The car has 41000 miles on the speedo the interior is original and like new.
The paint is not original, the original color was green and now it is yellow.
Again the only thing I see is the crack by the hood, other than that it looks in pretty good shape.
I'm thinking about trading my 1938 Chevy street rod for it.

He wants $ 32000 for it, is that a fair price.
My car is worth about $35000.
IMHO, since I don’t have the details of the quality of the street rod, assuming at mediocre level, these coupes are hard to ever get the money you want. The coupe is good for $23K and the highly produced mediocre ‘69 with NOM and non - original paint (who knows what’s under it?), I’d say $18K at most for the vette against the coupe for a trade. If you really want that vette, An even trade maybe in the cards.
Note: when I see somebody looking or willing for a trade (IMHO again) I’m skeptical. I see someone who wants out of their car that’s not a sleeper to say the least. The seller has to love your car and more often thinks your car is worth more.
