Default Actuators

trying to rebuild or replace my actuators. Can’t get the pin out that holds the shaft that runs up into the actuator. Seems to be rusted and won’t budge. Any ideas on how to remove pin? I can push one headlight up and it will stay. The other one won’t. So I’m assuming it’s the actuators.

Give it a shot of PB Blaster, wait a couple minutes, give it a tap. Should come loose.

did that tonight. It appears to be a little pin that slides through the main pin that goes through the shaft. Am I right about that? If so its really rusted and I can’t remove it to pull main pin out.

Yes, there will be a small pin or cotter pin through the end of the larger pin. Soak it with the PB Blaster and let it sit for a while then. It will loosen that rust. Probably have to tap it out with a small punch or a nail set.
