What part don’t you get?
The part I don’t get is the assumption it’s not possible the owner of the lot owns the car.

Im not sure that the revelation that the car’s owner also has a lot is terribly significant. Lots of people overprice their Corvettes.

Fair enough. It is indeed possible that this is fact a privately owned vehicle being sold by the actual owner of the car with no connections whatsoever to the car dealership he happens to own.

Given the nature of such things, I bellevue it safe to say that the chances of the above possibility being actually true are right up there with our President tweeting out today that he did in fact have an affair with a **** star 😎

I guess, although I paid mid 60’s for a car in precisely that scenario in Sept 2013. Car dealer’s personal car was titled to him for 30 years and it made quite a difference at tax time, so maybe that’s why I don’t see the issue.

The other reason is, just because it says “by owner” doesn’t change anything about the sale in any way. The car is obviously a total complete wreck and the price is what it is. The number isn’t enough to affect taxation to any real degree, so yeah, I don’t get the significance as to whether it’s related to the lot or the owner. Who cares?

I’ll make it simple. In all likelihood this is a car for sale by a car dealer pretending to not be a dealer. I came to this conclusion since the phone number is a car lot and the car is not listed as “for sale by dealer”.

Any prospective buyer should do their own research. Speaking for myself, I prefer to do business with folks who are up front about who they are and the nature of their business.

OK, so you are attaching some importance to assuming he’s hiding he’s a dealer, fair enough. You have every right to that opinion.

Ive found as many private owners being dishonest as I have dealers, probably moreso because they pretend they don’t know stuff, but I know some people have a thing about dealers. Personally, I don’t trust anyone so dealer vs private never comes into the equation for me.

Regardless of who is selling or why, it doesn't negate the fact the car is toast, and we lost another. Maybe some youngster with stars in their eyes can turn it around. Thinking what's left of it would be a good buy @ 5,000
