Default 122040 bolt

1969 L46

Could someone please give me the specs on this bolt? (122040) It attaches the rear end of the radiator support rod... as shown on (11-13/A5) in the AIM.

I searched the internet and could not find it.

Thanks.

Our system which has number changes listed all the back to the late 70's shows 122040 bolt number changed to 454872, I suspect this happened somewhere between 69 and 72. 454872 was a shouldered bolt and was a grade 5 5/16-18 bolt 1 5/8 long.

I believe it was also used for the upper bracket. Original bolt markings may have varied but I also think this would have been a TR marked bolt.

I edited this because Mike's length is shorter than what I show... and this is probably why the number changed. There is plenty of room inside there for any 5/16" bolt that will work.

And another edit... looks like the number changed between 69 and 70 for those keeping score.
