Default Custom interior build thread

Purists look away.

Wanted to share progress as a master of their trade (not me) creates a tailored C3 interior. I've been working on the overall build ~8 years out of my garage and have wrapped up most everything else. The two things I outsourced are paint and interior. I couldn't find many interior build threads so thought I'd share the journey.

Key components: Racepak iq3 (dash), Holley digital dash (lower console), alpine 9" head unit (upper console), vintage air, pw, pl, ron francis push button start, Corbeau A4 seats

Interior will be finished with red leather

I think that is looking good. I like seeing what other designs can be done with the C3 interior. I will be looking for some more finished photos. I also noticed the blower sticking out of the hood. very nice.

Interesting! Can you tell us what that off-white material is?

The interior work and the design is looking great. The entire project is looking awesome. As an old cabinet maker are you using MDF in different thickness to create your dash and console?

The white pieces are all expanded pvc board cnc designed and cut using waterjet. Lightweight, waterproof, strong, and easily bonded. (the board in an earlier picture was a mock up before transitioning to pvc)

Is there any way to see a picture of the top of the dash, maybe through the windshield? Also, will the foam be fiberglass’s at all or just wrapped over with the leather, will or stay structurally stable?

I don't anticipate it being fiberglassed. Glue PVC together and it stays.
