I've done some extensive research trying to figure out what reverse safety switch is on my 68 Corvette. I bought without checking this which i thought was the correct reverse safety switch. To my surprise, I found that we do not have any switch by the shifter. The switch appears to be bolted next to the transmission. Im not sure how many wires there is. I can go double check that if thats very important. It appears that this switch was put in when we restored the car as it came with the donor car. The car seems to have some trouble occasionally starting. I have isolated this to the switch due to slamming the shifter causes the car to start. I want to replace this as this is my show car, and i cant afford to be stranded.
Addditionally this car has been wired with a Painless Wiring Kit. Pretty sure that this came with new wires, so im not sure how my dad adapted to this wierd style of safety switches.
