OK been seeing this on eBay for a while now. From the pics it looks nice but I'm surprised it hasn't sold. Aside from not being a fan of the green interior is there another reason it hasn't sold?
Yeah the ebay photos are horrible, it makes one wonder if the grainy resolution is purposely there to hide something. But the video shows the car very well. The asking price isn't bad at all. A few easy changes in the engine bay, and it would look even better than it does today. Maybe it's the green on green colors? It's sure a lot of green! But I like it.
I think the main reason is that they want $29k for a coupe, which isnt a good buy to begin with. Then you add in a love-it-or-hate-it color, lots of little modifications (rockers, shifter, headers, is the eng comp green?, etc) and you have a car thats not bad, but by no means a surprise that it hasnt sold yet.

They also don't really know at they are talking about in describing the car. M22? Don't think so. If it is a M22 then its not original. The shifter is not original yet he says in the add the "interior is all original". Corvette buyers do not like people who either lie in the add or just don't know what they hell they are talking about.

I'm asking as I'm new to the C3 world and always appreciate others wisdom.
I think part of the reason is the color and color combination. Cars that are green and brown traditionally take longer to sell. That's not a knock on the color, personally I think Fathom green looks great. I'm just saying it takes a select buyer to want a green Corvette and even more select buyer to want a green on green Corvette.
I agree with all of the comments. I dread the day I list my '71 Green/Green LS5 4 speed A/C Convertible/Hardtop for sale. I know I'm going to take a big hit on the color combination.

I took a big hit on my 73 when I sold it. C3 prices never took off like a lot of people thought they would. I think it was also do to sheer numbers. They built a lot of them. The chrome bumper ones have kinda separated themselves from the pack but the 73 still remains soft. And when you take into account a love it or hate it color it narrows the window even more.
I also have a set of those raised white letter Dunlop GT Qualifiers that I BOUGHT IN 1984. If the age of those tires worries you, you might need to figure in for a new set while you are at it.
Same. I just literally replaced my Dunlops. They were 18 years old. They were in great shape but scared the hell out of me. I replaced them with Goodrich Radial T/As. They drive well and the car handles nicely!!!! Definitely add that to the price. Sadly most cars I looked at had older tires. The owners though that there was nothing wrong with that and were perfectly fine!! Ike

I actually like it.
Then it is from an era of avocado or yellow refrigerators, stoves, ovens and **** carpet. Would fit right in with the Brady Bunch.
BTW what color is the top?
It’s simply over priced. eBay shoppers want to bargain over price. At the very least the seller should have said “Or best offer”
Or “best offer over $25,000”
I always feel uncomfortable with car ads that are poorly written, that might keep a prospect or two away (IMHO)
The ad clearly says "$28,900 or make offer". So the seller is obviously negotiable off the $28,900 ask. He's looking for offers, and not expecting to get the asking price.
