Default Number matching

From what I can tell the numbers from the VIN don't match the partial VIN numbers on the block. Are we able to tell any information about the block from these numbers?

You didn’t say what year your car is, but from what I can tell is it’s an early 77 with a 74 350/ 250 HP L82 motor with an assembly date of January 14, 1974 assembled in Flint, MI.

So the picture showing the S14633 from what I can read should match the vin tag number on your A pillar post on the windshield. The silver pplate is your trim tag indicating the color of the exterior and inside.

0230 in vin number is 230'th built that model year. I thought A17 was Jan 17 build date, or is it the 1st month of production on the 17th? NOM, but at least it is an L82 Vette motor, not 83 pickup truck or Impala motor...

Your 77 has a replacement engine from a 74 Corvette. If memory serves, the ZJ1 on the trim tag indicates the optional two toned interior trim, blue with white leather seats and white door panels.
