Default 1979 vs 1975 Front Clip

Alright. So as some of you know my 75 front clip was trashed, and I bought a whole 79 front end to use. I don't know what has he thinking something is off but I've got that feeling. The 75 and 79 front clips were identical correct? I know the hoods have some differences (compared my original hood to the hood that came with the 79) but is that it? Or am I about to have half a 79 and half a 75 and every Corvette guy knows it?

Close, but not identical. Fender emblems changed

...I know the hoods have some differences...
Hood latch hardware changed by 79. Use the 79 hood and hardware on your 75. Order the 79 AIM and use the front clip installation diagrams. The AIM also lists the hood latch hardware and original part numbers.

Arguably, yes, since you bought a 79 clip to install on a 75, but that doesn't mean John Q. Public would notice the difference.

Thanks Mike! So hypothetically, If I use the 75 fender emblems it'll look identical to a 75?

The bumpers are interchangeable. The newer is a little prettier. So you are faced with a decision. Year-correct or what look you prefer? The back bumper is also a bit nicer looking. And with the 68-77 roofline, will be kind of interesting look. The missing grille on the back of the hood wont be missed by anybody.

Not a fan of the later C3 bumpers...so I'll be sticking with year correct on those! But thank you.
