Default Strange side window date code '68

Mine is a March '68 build.
The passenger side glass (hardtop glass, also) are dated VZ (Dec '67) - Makes sense.
The driver side glass is dated GX (April '68) - What the ??? A month after the car was built?
Logical to anyone?
Thank you

Most likely the glass was replaced at some point, and they used what they could find.

I hear ya, buckwylde, but so soon after the car was completed? How would that play out judging-wise?

It probably was replaced many years later with glass from another 68, that just happened to be built a month later than yours.

Or the car was stolen shortly after it was bought. I'm sure a lot of '68's were stolen shortly after being introduced having a design that was so new and radical at the time.

Ah HA! So simple an explanation- just so simply logical.

The car is new to me and every so often I'll check part numbers. When all the other glass checked out to be date correct, I guess I had blinders on, and was looking for a reason why an April window was on my March car. I never gave it a thought that the window may have been replaced at one point in its 50 year life cycle.

Just found ANOTHER part (water pump) dated (April '68) - one month after the car's build date. Don't mind me, I'm just talking to myself.
