Default Which suspension parts to powdercoat?

Just got all the suspension removed from my '77 …..thought it might be a good idea to powdercoat the control arms and the 4 a-frames/control arms. This is a flip car but I don't cheap out if something needs done $ to be proper
.
Can one tell by looking if something is coated and is there any other "must do' parts I should be considering?

Thanks folks!

FWIW: you don't have to powdercoat anything if you don't want to. There was no powdercoating on factory parts.

Personally, I think powder coating suspension parts is overkill. If your parts show any pitting after glass beading, any coating will show them. Eastwood make a good chassis satin black in the fizz can.

I powder coated the A-arms on my 79 and I'm sorry I did. I forgot to tell the Powder coat guy to mask off the bushing holes so naturally they got painted. The stuff is a bitch to get off so after scraping and sanding the holes, I finally got the bushings pressed in. Lesson learned.

my rule, I do not expose live suspension parts to unneeded high Temperature heat,
Powder coat is Done 350 degrees. does this affect Spring Tempering ? ... I suspect so to some degree.
I never chrome or powder coat any type of Spring, , sway bar or Torsion bar.

For a car you're selling... Nope wouldn't waste the time or cash on powder coating anything.

5160 spring steel doesnt anneal untill 500* +/- 25* and is tempered at normally 375* 350 wont even phase it...there are thousands of powdercoated leafspring kits out there, there is no problem with it at this temperature

put the savings in your engine 😎

we dont have any place big enough around here to do larger powdercoating, so i just stick with por15 or epoxy chassis paint from eastwood
