I was wondering on a 78 Vette are there Julian dates on the master cylinder and calipers? I could get the same casting numbers but was unsure concerning the dates.
On the master cylinder, too often they are difficult to see, upside down and the stamp is faint. Typically, the broadcast code is followed by a single digit for the year and then a Julian date code, three digits for day of the year. The photo below is from an 80-81 and reads YC1168...but backwards . It was taken with a mirror. The stamping can be found on the forward machined boss where the brake line enters the M/C. For your Pace Car, we would expect a DM broadcast code followed by a March date code like DM8068
