once again I have been driving around my new corvette having the time of my life , only to discover that the accelerator pumps are puking fuel onto the intake manifold like it's going out of style, and no fire extinguisher in the car. Bought a fire extinguisher, and I'm going to replace the pumps on the 650 double pumper that is on the car now , but would like to order a date coded correct Rochester for it , as the car is very original and will be getting restored at some point. It's a 69 L-36 , just wondered if there was a good source for rebuilt date coded carbs , or new ones that have been stamped. I've been looking on the web and don't see to much available.
NCRS Specifications Guide says your car came with 7029215 if manual transmission or 7029204 if an automatic.
I did a quick search on eBay and they list several 7029215's but they are not cheap. Only one 7029204 was listed but over $1K.
thanks for that , now that I search that number , is see a few of them , yeowch , $1500.00 seems to be the going rate, must have been one year only or something.

Get some advice from Lars, helps a ton of people here and elsewhere, his feelings on rebuilt carbs are well documented.
This really sucks! A yr and a half ago I was cleaning out most everything I didn’t need. Looking back at my old Craigslist ad I sold that carb for a 4 spd. In need of a choke pull off and a rebuild I sold it for $250.
The good news, a load of L-36 Corvette engines were made in ‘69 so it’s not going to be that bad locating date correct Qjet. Btw, if you have the right car and you are going for the NCRS seal of approval, $1,200 (if you must) isn’t that bad when you consider what people happily pay for the right carb for a ‘69 MOPAR carb, ‘70 RA IV T/A or any of the LT-1s of 70-72.
Your best bet is to find a suitable non-rebuilt carb and send it to Lars for a full rebuild - that way you know it is getting done correctly. I was lucky enough to find a date code correct Holley for my 72 LT-1 at Bloomington Gold and sent it to Lars. They are out there - take your time and find the right one. Too bad you missed Dave when he went to Carlisle - he could have looked for you.
Hey Guys,
New to the forum. I have a 66 built in January of 66 convertible with a 327/350 hp 4 speed. I believe my car would use a 3367 dated 5A? or 5B?..... What does the number (3884505-DA) on the top mean. Does a 3884505-DA date code 50 or 5A or 5B all fit numbers wise?
