Default License plate light

Hello it's Crap again. I have asked this before. Does anybody know how to take the whole tag light out of the car? I want to replace it and put in a new bulb.I found where the wire goes thru a hole underneath the car on the back side of the bumper. The bulb housing it self will not fit thru it.it is to big.this is for a 1975 corvette stingray.I can get to some of the stuff behind the bumper now because I took off part of the spare tire holder so we can put new fuel lines on the gas tank because it is leaking gas.thanks again

You should be able to drop the entire bulb holder from outside the bumper, Two screws should hold the assembly to the car and allow it to drop down in front of the plate and allow you to change the bulb easily?
