In 69, the available marroon color was just called "Burgundy", paint code 988. I assume that's what that color is, but in reality, trying to identify a color from a photograph on the internet, is just about impossible.

is this a color you are considering for your car, or a car you are considering and researching everything, including the color?

I don't think that particular color came from the factory.

Definitely 69 burgundy. I wish my 70 Marboro maroon paint was that dark.

I'd be willing to bet that it's the stock 69 Burgundy paint. It looks like a fully restored 69, so I doubt that someone would paint it a custom color. A good friend of mine had the twin to that car, except his had side pipes and didn't have the louver trim. It was a very pretty car, though admittedly I'm pretty found of just about any shade of red.

I believe that is a custom blend. Take a look at this one with a custom 3 stage blend from PPG. It looks very close in pictures but if inspected side by side it would be different shades I would think.
