Hello,
I'm looking into getting my first corvette and believe I might have found one I want. It's a 1969 red convertible with 80,000 miles and no options. Has a 350 and 3 speed manual transmission. It was described as being in driver condition. I was wondering what a fair price for this would be?
thank you
"Driver condition" can mean anything from a decent solid car that needs this and that, to a clapped out rusted out POS with non-original parts. So anywhere between $15,000 and $1,500 would be my guess until I laid eyeballs on it and give it an enema.
...no options...I was wondering what a fair price for this would be?...
What is the asking price? If the car is a genuine no option car, it could have interest to someone who was looking for one. Since almost all Corvettes had one or more options, a true plain jane would be rare.

Pictures I have of the Car, Don't know the condition on the frame or birdcage

He's asking 10,000, I dont know if its actually no options, just kinda guessing based on the fact its a 3 speed.
Looks like No radio then someone put a radio right though the radio delete plate. I would agree that it is a low option car. But for 10K not a bad price all at if no rust.

$10K is reasonable and worth going to take a looksee. Looks like a nice car. The radio and fender louver trim were options, if they're original. The 3 speed was standard. Any other transmission would have been optional.
10 is pretty cheap for a ‘69 convertible any decent running condition. Are you sure it’s a 350? That oil fill suggests otherwise. Is it supposed to be the original 350?
The pics don’t tell much, other than it’s not obviously molested. Wrong headrests and the engine compartment is a little shaky. Everything rests on the rust issue and the condition of the body up close.

Given the antenna and the distributor cover, I’d say it came with a radio and it’s been swapped out with a custom job, including a custom filler plate behind it.
PS, if it really doesn’t have any options, while that might interest someone, it does not in any way help the value any, including the “rare” 3 Speed.

I would say a bargain at 10k. Unless rusty. And mebbe even then. That is a 68 intake, though, so it may well be not original motor. But that wouldn't be an issue at 10k.

Well 10k gets you the running driver threads car or
8.5k gets basketcase,

You can't do any better or go wrong unless it's a total rust bucket. Here in the Seattle/Vancouver B.C. area we don't see the rust problems so common in eastern cars. I've seem some really sad cases of '68-'72's totally gone with rust from the mid west and east. They looked great but....a frame off is necessary and unless a rare car not worth all the labor $10K is a SCREAMING deal for a chrome bumper roadster. It would be VERY cheap for a coupe as well. #'s matching and that 3 speed would be a HUGE plus. Ditto on an original red car.
It's funny, but in all the 25 years that I owned and operated my Corvette paint and body shop from the early 70's to the mid 90's, I do not recall ever having a 3-speed C3 come across my path.
At $10K, I don't think you could go wrong unless the bird cage is rusted out.
If it's a car with a good foundation (no hard hits, no major rust, hopefully original engine, mechanically sound driver), your worst case scenario is that you'd have a great driver that you will easily get your money back for it down the road, and probably more.

Well... no A/C, crank windows, no Tilt/Tele steering wheel, vinyl seats, 3-Speed manual... you actually might have an "absolutely no options" car there.
