Question about rear access after the fiero seat swap... do the seats incline enough to easily access the storage space and compartments? Im considering buying a pair and doing the mr.mikes recover, but from the images the seller has shown, they don’t seem to flip forward as much as expected and no where near as much as the stock ‘77 seats. I’m located in Australia, so fiery seats are very rare and these particular units are about 1000k. Away so not easy to “test fit”.
cheers
There are lots of seat swap threads here, Fiero seats and Miata seats are common other swaps. There's a guy who makes custom Fiero seat covers that look excellent. That's the route I will be taking
Question, if the guy is making custom Fiero, why not just have the original ones made?

Since you are in Australia, you have access to a lot of vehicles that we do not have in the U.S. I would suggest taking a look at various 2 door cars and Utes (if they came with individual bucket seats rather than a bench seat). That way you could actually sit in them and maybe even do a test fit to see what you like the most. You're likely going to need to modify the seat tracks anyway.
And for seats that don't sit real high at the base, I would also look at some of the cab over trucks like an Isuzu, Hino, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, or UD. Some of those seats are quite comfortable for long periods of time, while others are miserable. And they typically fold forward for access.
