I would guess there's a reason he hasn't been around. Hopefully it has nothing to do with his health. If it's not if and when he returns and we can welcome him back with gratitude and open arms showing him how much he was missed and how much he is appreciated.

I spoke to him a few months ago. He is in god health but, sadly became "burned out" from the forums. It was quite disappointing to hear. His knowledge and photos and Vette were incredible.
I hope he changes his mind and starts to mess all of us, but I was happy to hear it was not health related!!!. I wish him well!!! Ike

In the meantime, I suggest we leave him alone. One thread has already been closed regarding Alan.

General, I would disagree that these posts are not helpful. They display a true appreciation for the mans talents and commitment to this hobby of ours.
i am truly happy to hear that he is in apparent good health, and is just taking a break.
If/when he returns, it will be a good day for all concerned, and I look forward to seeing more posts signed: Regards Alan.

I agree. The sentiments have been made in both threads. I’m sure if Alan chose to participate he wouldn’t need to be reassured that he would be welcomed; that’s obvious.
