Brace/Front Bumper Gap

Default Brace/Front Bumper Gap
Hi, Does anyone else have a 1/2" gap between the front bumper and bumper brace assembly? I have check the frame (no damage that I can see), pulled everything off and adjusted all brackets as far forward as possible. I still have the gap. Any suggestions or advice is welcomed. BTW...its a 1970.

Post a pic. The horse collar should be up against the front support from the back side and the bumper should be up against the front side of the support.

Just checked the 69 and it has 3 shims on each bolt and is about half a inch for the three shims .
