Hi I`m a new member and recently purchased a 75 corvette automatic hard top. the exterior is in excellent shape but the interior and motor need some up grades. My question is 75 not being the most desirable year at this time should I keep the motor stock and make the necessary repairs or should I rework it some with a new cam lifters, heads, and fuel injection? Not sure which would be better for resale at a later date. Thanks for any advice.
All depends on if you plan on selling the car later. I also have a 75 L-48 auto. I rebuilt the engine to about 460HP, and kept everything else stock, replacing and restoring as needed. I will never sell this car, so I made it what I wanted.

Frankly, If you're keeping the car for yourself, but you might sell it down the road... then you can get away with engine upgrades (nobody is that fond of the 350/165hp motor). Remove and change all the crappy stuff, just keep it all - and I mean ALL the stuff you remove from the engine. Just shove it all in a box or two and throw it in the basement. I've been happy to buy modified C3's when the guy has kept all the original stuff he removed from the car. If you're never selling... then anything goes!

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will upgrade the motor and keep all the old parts as suggested.
