‘70 Red Corvette LT-1 in Missouri
I am looking for a dealer in Missouri that purchased a red ‘70 Corvette over the weekend at Mecum. - Dallas. Does anyone know of any Classic Corvette or Classic Car dealers in Missouri where I can check their website? Thanks.

They purchase, fix up and flip. I have had a number of people check out cars they have advertised for sale and have found them to be straight forward about the cars, good and bad. Give them a call, if it is not them, they likely would know who it was that purchased the car.

FWIW they also have/had the 70 Mulsanne over bright blue LT1 Roadster which has frame and possible bird cage issues

There has to be something Major wrong with this car. Same auction had a '71 (sold) and '72 (bid goes on) both base engine automatic roadsters bid the same money as this '70 2 top red LT1 roadster.

Each little flaw seems to really whittle away at their "getting" prices.
So my guess is this car has one real bad or a lot of little flaws.

I have zero stake in this car, have never seen it and not interested in it, I just think jumping to a conclusion w/o facts is the wrong thing.
Many cars are purchased at auctions, fixed up and resold. I have done it many times in the past myself, Does not make the original purchase bad, just an opportunity. When I re-sold them everything was disclosed and always they were improved. Did I make a profit? Yup, that is the intention to start with.

Seriously, its not a reach in this scenario to assume a problem within the car is keeping its price down because i hope we can agree lt1s are super desirable.

FWIW...
The MO dealer, Vintage Vettes was very honest with me when I was looking at their Mulsanne Blue 70 LT1 Roadster. I had a flight booked and the owner said let me go over the car and check the cross members and everything so you don't waste a flight, he called me back and told me the end caps and kickups didn't look good... I asked if he was sure, he told me that he was sure I would not be happy with the car.
He took down what I would be interested in... and then followed up and called me after he got another car I mentioned, a 74 Trans Am.

You have no idea, so why brand a car with negativity? Assumptions may or may not be right. My recommendation is to actually go look at the car then make a statement to it's quality. Not trying to just slam you, I just think your comments are baseless and over the top. MANY things can happen at an auction why one car bring BIG money and the other just flounders. Depends on what the buyers are looking for and who is bidding on that spacific car.

I have no interest in this car nor the actual dealership.
What I do care about is the way people give opinion and label a unit how was it put: "something major wrong" which in all reality could black flag the car for eternity. Problem here is it may just have been a number of issues with that car or it could have been the time people that were looking at the other cars went to take a **** or have lunch? You never know. Yes, that model is highly desirable... But to those that are wanting or looking for that spacific model. I thin we can all agree, more than those that do, don't care...
I have the same issue with car Fax. I have seen MANY issues with their reporting from small issues to complete fabrications. My 02 was reported in 09 to have 100K miles because the mechanic inadvertently added another 0 to the 10K mileage. even though the mileage before and after from the same dealership when they changed the oil showed the correct mileage amounts. I had to threaten legal action against CarFax for them to correct their wrong reporting. Mine worked out, but once the car is labeled, it can rarely be over come.
