Default 3964290 heads

were 3964290 heads used on 69 corvette
mine are dated 1 29 9 and g 10 9

No, but they became available for the 1970 model year.

The 290 head was used on Camaro's in 1969 and like Mike said above, they didn't come into play on Corvettes until 1970.

Here is a chart of the head casting numbers.

69 uses 186 heads double hump with acc. holes.
350 high performance head used large valve 2.02
lower hp engines had same head casting # with smaller valves.

Interesting, I always thought the 074 heads where to be used on the LS7.

The 291 was an iron head. Would have never been used on an aluminum block... Unless it was a Vega!

This is a iron head used on the 1971 LS-6 Chevelle
1971 3994026425 Horsepower 454 Cubic-Inch LS6 Engine (unverified)
