Default Stereo wiring question

Just bought a 1979 vette and just noticed that the stereo (an old cassette player) can be turned on with the car off and no key in the ignition. Basically it’s wired hot, Is this normal or did some previous owner do come creative wiring installing the stereo.

No big deal, long as the stereo is turned off and not just the volume down, when car is left alone for a while....an easy goof to do, there maybe a control wire to the ign switch/switched wire, and the main power goes to the battery.....OR maybe just one main power wire that needs be switched on/off with the igniton switch function....RED is always on, Pink feeds dizzy, ORange is a switch hot....Pink and Orange are dead with ignition off/park RED like stated above is always on, so the stereo will stay on if connected there....

obviously the frame/ground of the stereo goes to the car body/ ground/negative.....
