I am going to start a winter project soon and wanted some advice. One of things i want to do is convert the rear taillights into LED halos for running lights, but I don't want to lose my reverse light lens. I want it to look original as much as possible. I have a plan, but I need to get the back housing off the lens/reflectors. Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this? I heard placing them in the oven would help, but I have no idea about that.
I have read a few of the threads on here on the conversion, but they are not exactly what I want.
I'd thought of doing this, and have an extra set of taillights. My plan, if I were to do it, was to dremel off the back, and 3D print a new deeper back and socket holder, then glue/screw it back together.

But, no, I haven't done it yet.
Ya, I thought about the dremel thing. But someone whom I got a set from dropped one and they came apart. Nothing looks broken but I fear trying to recreate the situation. So they come apart somehow.
