Not sure at 70... about 1550 at 60 mph in 6th gear with 3.70 rear end.

Yea, gonna yank my tranny, What do you think of the Tremec 5 speed or the Doug Nash 6?

Since yours is very original, I would go with one of the 5 speed bolt in kits offered by some of the vendors, and keep the original parts. This way it could be returned tot stock if desired. I had to cut my tunnel for the T56 install, but only cost me about $1000 for the swap. One of the best upgrades that can be done to the C3 is the 5 or 6 speed with hydraulic clutch.

Agreed i looked into tremec 5 pro kit no mods to the tunnel or consol, direct fitment, easy R+R 2500 plus the kit. Did u change the rear gears? I got 3:07 in there now.

Yes, I swapped the rear when I had the body off. Also dropped in a 385 stroker engine. Here's a couple pics of the installed T56 trans.
