Default Question for QuickJack users

My 71 is currently on jackstands. I'm considering the 5000SLX.
Will I be able to lift the car off the jackstands with out having to reposition the jackstands?

Thanks

The lift points are the frame rail just before the rear tires and at the front were the frame straightens out. If your jacks on in those locations you will need to find other means to keep the car in the air.

Got my Quickjack about 3 months ago and I agree. You’ll have to find a way to get the Quickjack platforms where the jack stands are if they’re under the frame rails between the tires.

I highly recommend the Quickjack system. It absolutely ROCKS!

I agree. I don't have the front suspension installed so I should be able to move the front stands forward. It's the rear stands that concern me. Only options seems to be to move them inward.
Anyone have suggestion?
Thanks

Not sure if it helps but you can turn them sideways (5000 series reaches the frame rails) but depending on where your stands are now it might still be in the way. Also, if you have the jack set to raise and move the car forward, you might be able to raise the jack up with the short blocks outside of the car until it just misses the frame and then slide it under the car are close to the jackstands as possible and raise it the rest of the way. That way you're only clearing the top of the stand instead of the wider base.

Thanks Mooser
The stands are at the usual 4 corners.

It's kind of back yard but I would move my front jack stands from the frame to one under each front shock mount. I would then go to the rear and use my jack under the rear center spring mount at the diff without going underneath. Remove the rear stands and install your quick jack.

My 5000SLX should be delivered next and see what I need to do.
Thanks - Jim
