I purchased my 72 just about two years ago, it took a lot of work to get it back in shape but its finally finished. Its a 72 base automatic, numbers matching convertible, all original with the exception of tire size/type, high compression pistons (10:1), Mild Cam, 2" exhaust, leather seats and black top (had white originally) oh.. and a 69 big block hood. Its easier to list what I didn't do to the car.... I didn't rebuild the rear suspension, basically have rebuilt every other mechanical item on the car as well as interior and exterior. I want to thank all you who responded to my post and helped with questions and decisions.
Here are a few pics of before and after.
As it sat the first time I seen it Dec of 2016

Beautiful car! You do great work. It sure is good to see when these great cars are restored back to their original beauty. BTW, I think you've hooked the grandson on C3's
Thanks for the inspiration. Every once and awhile I start to loose focus on my project, wondering if it ever will get done. Thanks to guys like you I know it is possible. Nice job.
Hope your chest is bursting with pride, you nailed it! Beautiful Vette!
And that small future Corvette driver already has a good feel for how it all works.

That is beautiful! Job well done. How bout some engine pics?
Here is a engine pic, I need to install my wiper pump and do a little detailing... and a picture of my top, it's a KEE top, I think it went on well and am very happy with it, thanks to c69vete for loaning me the top install video.
Beautiful car and it looks like the little guys wheels are turning, he'll have it figured out by the time he can reach the pedals.
The little guy is showing some great potential for sure, he points to the door leading to the garage wanting to see the cars. One of ten or so words in his vocabulary is "car", I'm thinking "Corvette" will be added to that list soon.
