Would anybody out there know if a 73 deck lid would fit on a 68 rear vert clip.

Close. 68s do not have the front locating pins the later cars have.

I believe the rear deck lid it is the same physical dimensions,
I have installed later 70's years on 69 I have several deck lids,
let me know if you need any pictures or dimensions.
