installing front clip
So I am getting ready to install front clip I believe I have researched a fair bit on this topic but want to make sure I don't miss something so steps to install would be great. The original thread is to old and was unable to access it. This clip has fenders installed so one step I do not have to do.

68-72? One detail rarely gets mentioned. Install the front bumper before bonding the clip. One guy got clip all installed and front bumper was about a half inch too far forward. He had to open up mount hole slots longer to get the fit right. moving the clip forward might not have been an option. The door gaps are harder to deal with than the bumper gaps. But you need to know all of the gaps all over the car before you Bond it on so that you're ready to deal with adjusting whatever you have to adjust.

We used an original completely stock front clip from another 71 when we were doing our rebuild. It came with wheel wells in place. Adding the bumper before glue is an EXCELLENT idea! We mounted our clip on & off 3 times before glue. Use paint sticks for spacers, and clamps to hold it in place at the lower windshield corners and below the side vents at the bottom of the fenders. Install it with the hood on and secured in place. Door gaps should be LAST area of concern... they can be adjusted after everything else fits well. My biggest worry was getting it straight, so the nose didn`t tip downward at the front. Fit & adjust---fit & adjust---fit & adjust---GLUE!
