To Valet or Not . . . discuss
For most of us, our c3's are are special occasion, weekend, no rain in the forecast cars. With that in mind, driving our babies to a special dinner or night out is certainly not out of the question.
Now the question is, when we pull up to that fancy hotel or restaurant, do we hand the keys over to the fresh-faced 19 year old valet? Personally, I'm thinking twice about that. How about you?

Even though I'm certainly in that age bracket of most valets, I wouldn't do it. Between the oddities these 40-50 year old cars have, and my own personal worry, I would much rather park it somewhere visible, or if I have to valet, watch over the parking and again, ensure it's somewhere I could see.

Yeah ain't happening!!!! If they won't accommodate me parking it, its time to go elsewhere. Always tip the valets none the less,as NONN37 stated. Too much blood , sweat and tears in the car to let some stranger, who is unfamiliar with the car, drive it.That's incentive to watch the car!!! Ike

Just another Corvette guy
I let the valet park mine regularly here in Palm Springs.
These guys are parking celebrity's Ferraris and Rolls' worth much more than my Corvette.
The only caveat? If I don't know them, I tell them "Don't bang the nose" They look at that long, low front end that they can't see from inside the car and always park it right in front with those Ferraris and Rolls'

Sorry, but I wouldn't let the Valet park my truck, my wife's Acura or my Corvette.
Maybe it's just where I go, but I've never been to a restaurant where you couldn't park your own.

Mine isn't insured unless my wife or myself are behind the wheel. I have only let one other person let drive it and that was the friend that helped me find it. He can and would have written a check for it it anything happened as I would have when I drove his 72.

You are kidding, right? you're just trying to make us smile, laugh and get in a good mood for the holidays.
As to "why a .45?" Torque, lots and lots of torque.
