I was adjusting my headlights and knocked this connector apart which then busted when it hit the ground. I am not sure what it does. My lights don't work any different with it disconnected. The part circled in orange connects to the part circled in blue. The proximity to the camera of the part circled in orange makes it look much bigger than it is. The connector blades are perpendicular to each other and make a "T" pattern. This is on the driver's side.
This is the switch which illuminates the warning light on the instrument panel when the headlight switch position disagrees with the headlight assembly position, i.e. when the headlight switch is in the ON position and the headlight assembly remains in the DOWN position the warning light will illuminate. The switch has no effect on proper headlight operation.
