Default Mystery Part

Put a new radiator in the '77 L82 today. While struggling to install the LH side radiator retaining bracket, this part seemed to fall from the area where my hand was as I was trying to start one of the two bolts that retain the aforementioned bracket. It seemed to fall from the area where my hand was down forward of the radiator support to the floor. Anyone have an idea of what it is and where it goes? Could it possibly be a spacer for the longer of the two retaining bracket bolts? I noticed that the longer of the two bolts, the inner one, seems to be excessively long, to the point where it's just contacting the radiator when fully installed. I don't see anything shown in the AIM. Any help would be appreciated.

Not positive, but reminds me of a spacer between the ALT iron bracket and the ALT itself. Its for a large bolt, that's for sure.

yeah. im guessing the same thing. at some point ,maybe, someone put it on top the rad shroud, and it fell down toward the bottom of the support.

Spacer for the grommet that mounts the top of the condenser bracket.

Thanks for the answers all. '75, looks like you're correct. Can you provide any more info regarding it's placement? Obviously the longer inner radiator bracket bolt passes through it. Does it go between the condenser bracket and the radiator support, spacing the bracket away from the support? Does it pass through the condenser bracket bolt hole with the condenser bracket tight against the rad support? After further research, it looks like there may be a rubber grommet that it goes through. How does that fit in? I'm going to look through the AIM again but I didn't see anything the first time through.

That's what I needed Duke. My view of the area is obstructed because I didn't remove the hood for the radiator change (guess I like doing things the hard way). Thanks all.
