Hello,
I recently purchased my father's 1972 Corvette with the 200 hp 350 from my sister. It was not running and it had the wrong distributor that didn't have a tach drive the original needs to be located and rebuilt so I purchased an HEI but my dual snorkel air cleaner won't fit. Does anyone know if a later model air cleaner will work and if so which one? I appreciate any help you can provide me with and I am pretty sure I will be posting regularly because the car needs a lot of work 10000 little things .

Might want to check that that hood of a 72 200 hp has the "power bulge" that accompanied later year hoods to add space for those 75-79 air cleaners.

I believe you can now buy a small HEI dizzy with tach drive that is the same size as the original and allows you to keep the shielding. The best part is they were not very expensive last time I looked, probably cheaper then a new air cleaner.
