68upper rocker panel trim. One has top painted black the other doesn’t. Which is correct?

My early 68 has chrome strip at top....painted black underneath

The bottom trim is painted black at the very top and the bottom to the piece. The piece in the top of picture is painted only on the bottom

The bottom one is correct. Painted on top and bottom. Mine is a January 68 build date. T
