Are the holes slotted? If not, then how is this going to give me any adjustability? Thanks in advance.
On my 68 when I loosened the top two bolts going to the hood, the hood moved down quite a bit on its own so there appears to be some adjustment there. I had to hold it up and tighten the bolts again to get it back nearer where it was.

So I bought the hood alignment tool..and it won't fit in the latch. I measured the tool and it's within spec (measured about 1.17"). The hood latch opening is about 1.13" at it's narrowest. Ummm, what the heck?!

My passengers side latch was smaller than the drivers side latch. It appeared that the die to press the whole didnt travel far enough to finish the whole. I removed the latch and removed the spring so i could get to the edges of the whole and finished it with a file. If you put the tool in and look at the edges you may see a narrow section. Just file it off with a half moon file

VERY COOL tool.....thanks for pointing this one out.

Side note to guy who slammed Wilcox in buyer feedback....... this kind of FREE info from Ernie and crew may help their sales but it also shows the commitment to our Forum and our cars by Ernie.

Thanks. The tool won't go into either latch, but the driver side is definitely tighter.
