Default T Top trim rivets.

Took the trim off my T Tops to paint them (t tops not the trim). The side trim is held in place with very flat rivets. I guess so they don't interfere with the weather strip side holder/adjuster. Can I get these rivets or has someone used something else that works. Also what can I use for the sealer that is used on the roof panels.

Good Morning.

I've used regular pop rivets with no problems, and 3M 08008 Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive on the panels, just before inserting the Weather Stripping's pins into the panel holes. Be prepared to install the panel into place, with the window "rolled" up, to help cure in place. And I try not to use too much adhesive either.

I'm not talking about the weatherstripping, I am talking about the sealer between the trim and the t roof.

Can't take a picture of drilled out rivets. The head on them isn't rounded like a regular rivet. It is flat so the side weather strip holder sits flat.

OK. I gotchya now.

Under the chrome trim, right?

I use the 3M product described earlier for this application as well.
Yes the rivets are indeed flat, but I have used regular pop rivets for this in the past with no ill-effect. I'm about to paint this spare set, after which I will then attach the weather strip.
You probably already know about those holes with the movable nuts retained inside: I make sure they are clean from old adhesive and the nuts move easily around, so you can adjust the weatherstrip housing in-and-out for a better window fit if required. In other words, I don't get the goo in or too close to those holes.
Good Luck.

Design is right, but not sure about this size though.
