I ordered some items from Ecklers and got my cans of dye, and it’s from Corvette America.
How has this dye worked for the members on here? I’m not doing a color change, just respraying certain things to try and make them look new.
Also, is it necessary to use an adhesive promoter, and if so is it used on the hard plastic, the soft vinyl parts, or both?
and what is best to get all parts sqeaky clean?
I just used it today. I used it on hard plastic. I thoroughly cleaned it did a very light sanding just to rough it up and remove some of the shine. From there I use Sems cleaner / adhesion promoter. The dye dried in a very flat finish. I put three light coats to get the cover I want. From there I used Sems Satin clear for plastic. The parts look beautiful. I have used this on other cars in the past and always get a good result.

I only used it on hard plastic. I've had those products a while and I believe I got them at an automotive paint store and if not there I got them from Napa. The only time I ever did soft vinyl I went directly to local auto paint store and got needed products from them and I did not use the satin clear on the vinyl. A local auto paint store should have anything you need. They will also instruct you on how to properly do whatever job you are doing.
I've found that soap and water, followed by Windex cuts through the sticky in interior panels. Vinegar and baking soda does well also. I use Landau black SEM for dye. Not sure what color you have.

How would you compare the sheen of Landau Black with the original color?
Hard so say, because the interior was faded from age, and was icky sticky. The SEM Landau Black is just very slightly gloss, not flat, but I think looks good on both the plastic and vinyl covered parts. Here is the lower console, which is vinyl covered. About three coats.
