Tail light wicks?

https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...iece-set-58-73

My brake light burned out. I had to pry off the lens after removing the screws. Pulled the glass part of the bulb away from the body. Pulled the bottom part out by bending it into a star shape. I really would seriously consider switching to candles but it isn’t obvious to me how I’d light them from the drivers seat when slowing down.

You are lucky, I have had my taillight lenses crack when trying to remove them from the rubber gaskets. The taillight wicks fit in the small bottom slot on the
lenses to help get rid of moisture and fogging in the lens. Lou.

You could pick up some rocket wick from the local hobby store... it's fast burn and I used to use it when I was a kid to make black powder (huge) firecrackers... Just be ready ahead of time so you don't fire off to early

The wicks are in there to allow the lamps to drain any water that may enter behind the lens, it's funny because in the old days (when everyone in the shop smoked).. PUKE... We'd save the butts to make the wicks and they make awesome touch up brushes if cut on an angel. lol
