Default Rakkey "FW" Wheel Information

I recently acquired a set of four K-1-7-2-10-FW 15" X 7" Ralley wheels with tires; center caps and trim ring for my rolling body dolly.
I have removed the badly road rashed trim rings and those will be discarded.
I have removed the center caps and those are nice and will be cleaned and retained.
I will have the four BF Goodrich tires removed this week and discarded as well as they are old and cracking.
I plan to have the four wheel media blasted to clear the surface rust and then I will prime and paint them.

My question is regarding the "FW" designation. I have read they came from a Camaro; have also heard they were used on Monte Carlo's.

Just looking for some guidance on where they were used in the past. The date code is February 10, 1967 which I would assume to be a 1967 non Corvette.

Got any GM wheel experts out there?

Thanks for any help.

I Googled FW and it came back Monte Carlo. Date code could be 77, not 67.

That wheel is from 1977, not 67.

The FW is a 15x7 wheel introduced in 1971, as an optional wheel on 71-72 Monte Carlos. From 73-77 it was optional on Monte Carlos, Chevelles and El Caminos. To my knowledge it was never used on Camaro's. Camaro's generally used 14" wheels, except for the Z/28, that used a wheel similar to the 71-72 Chevelle SS wheel. The FW is not an ideal choice for Corvettes, because it has a 4 1/4" backspacing.

I will be using the wheels for a rolling chassis during restoration and will add spacers to compensate for the back spacing. I have some 225/70-15 older tires from my 74 that I will move over to these ralley wheels for the restoration and will buy new tires for my 74 once I have restored the wheels from that car. Once I am done with them I will sell them on Craigslist for cheap to be rid of them with the tires on and let someone else have them but for now they are perfect for what I am doing.

Great information, thank you very much.

Thank you, that makes good sense. Tires on these wheels are 255/60-15 rears and 225/70-15 fronts so I know they can hold the 225's I will be putting on them for my restoration work. Perfect. Thank you.

Oh, and sorry about my spelling error in the title, it was early and I didn't pay close attention to Rakkey versus Ralley.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
