If I am running 4 6x9 speakers in an enclosure that will sit in the trunk of the car, do I need 2 rca cables or 1 enough since there is no front or rear? My amp kit came with 1 rca cable and I have a 4 channel amp. Just wondering if I need to go buy another rca or if 1 is enough.
Can you select how many channels to use on the amp and if all 4 speakers are in the trunk you wont be able to tell the difference between front or rear so you can run the amp as a 2 channel with 2 speakers connected to each side and not need the other rcas
I have a new alpine CDE-HD149BT head unit which has the dual sets of rca outputs and I have a new hertz HCP4D 4 channel amp which I believe can be run in 2 channel as well. I have 4 hertz exc6905 speakers that are in the trunk.
I have one set of rca cables (red and white connection on each end) which came with my stinger 4 gauge amplifier wiring kit.
All 4 speakers are in the back so I don’t think left and right separation matters.
Looking at your amps user manual you can run a mono bridged sub system. Page 44 of the manual. I would purchase another RCA cable set and when you install head unit wire it up to maybe run one of those mini sub units. This way all your head and amp cabling will be in place. Just need outputs and power to a future mini sub.
Sometimes its eraser to read the manual in PDF format, Link To Hertz Amp: https://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/wp-c...anual_revG.pdf
I saw the 4 channel version of this cable online and it can be delivered by tomorrow which is great. I guess I can just sell the 2 channel rca and use this one instead to make it easier?
