Bet that got your attention! So tonight I was watching PBS and a great show about the history of cars was on . It was called " breakthrough" . Anyhow I always knew I was a car guy . As a child I had HotWheels, Matchbox , slot cars ,scale models , posters on the wall , you know what I am talking about. As I became older ( into the teens ) I realized I like planes, and boats . The whole RC thing . Well I the last few years got back into model trains and slot cars . And I have always collected anything automotive.
But then I watching this show . And now I have come the the realization that I am into all things transportation. I enjoy Horse racing , as well as watching dog sled teams . Growing up on a farm i was able to ride a horse once or twice and never really put any thought into it . So yes , we can break down our hobbies to the details . And I can be a c3 guy or dog sled guy . To me the love affair is for the magic of transportation.
Just a little something for you all to think about .
Simple: You are a velocity guy. Man invented the wheel. Before it ever got put under a wagon and dragged by a horse, a second guy made another wheel. They went to the top of the hill, gave em a push, and NASCAR and NHRA were born!

Know what you are speaking about, as a kid we raced our bicycles, rode horses and my face was hanging out the side window if our 56 Dodge like a puppy dog. In my teens had the fastest car in the high school parking lot, then we got a speed boat and learned how to water ski. Years later started the snowmobile thing then in a few more years learned to snow ski. Now that I've seen to many New Years eve parties it's just me and my boat and a Corvette. T
I saw it....My first comment (to the TV screen) "this is written for 15 year olds." Then, It's a publicity stunt for that 'Danny-guy', talking head announcer boy.
Half the show was about NOTHING to do with cars, and the other half missed all the CRITICAL milestones, Rubber tires, electric start, VW Beetle, jeez, the list is endless that they missed... etc etc.
Beautful pic.....looks damn cold though.
If it has wheels, or floats with a motor im in to it.
Never cared about brand status (thats a joke) or anything else....just fun.
