Tried a "search" came up 'dry'.....ok, the seat-backs in my C3 simply lean back too far......and I see no adjusting mechanism anywhere. So how do I get the seat-backs to sit a little more 'vertical' and less 'laid back'?
On my 73, yo can turn (counter clockwise) the large round flat bolts on the bottom of seat back. If you need to raise the backs more upright, there are plates that were supplied by Chevrolet. Look at any of the vendors catalog, and you will understand how the spacers work.
On my 1980 I made 1/4" shims out of rubber to go under the seat mount in the rear. You can get anti vibe rubber pads in a variety of thickness on Ebay. 1/4" made a big difference in mine. GIL
You should have a set of theses on the bottom of each seat back.
Nice....except the "list" stops at 1978. WHY ME? What exactly are these "shims" some are talking about, and don't laugh, but what is the "pinch point" where I should place some shims? I honestly do not see anyplace what ANYTHING can be placed.
Now laugh.....

I bought some 3/4 inch clear plastic tubing, cut it to match the width of the seat, then slit it open lengthwise. It fits right over the lip of the seat base

My wife complained about the seat back angle so I put a 1" x 1.5" x 9" piece of wood between the bottom of the seat back and the base where they come together. Since we have lap and shoulder seat belts I was not too worried that the seat does not lock in place (it didn't anyway). I can add a picture to this post if you want.
I posted a pic above, I just used those sticky things that you put on the bottom of
your furniture so you don't scratch your floor. Just cut them to size and put one on either side.
Now your seat back will be in more of an upright position.
