Default 68 smog pump/system question.

Was the pulley spacer for the smog pump the thick or the thin kind.

Second question.... Were the pulley's only gray phosphate or were some painted. The one I had was painted, I did not notice it ever being gray phosphate.

Default Thick or thin, that’s is the question.

I looked briefly at the assembly manual. I believe at least for 68, non-air cars had the thin one and air cars had the thick one.

Any idea if pulley is plated gray phosphate or painted.

If anyone has any spare 68 smog stuff hanging around, let me know. I pretty much have everything for a small block system but some stuff might be better looking. Probably need some tower clamps. I could use the nickel injector thingys that go down into the manifolds.

I need a black plug for the pressure relief valve. I have a white one if someone wanted to trade. Thats another question. Where all the pressure relief valve plugs on the pump BLACK? I have seen white but that might have been someone making due or the pump was swapped out. I mainly see black on Big Block set ups. White was used on a lot of camaro's with similar engines.

I once looked at a pretty original 69 big block car and saw 1 1/8 inch tower clamps on the hoses. But, I have mainly seen 1 1/6 inch tower clamps. Any opinions appreciated or observations.

Thanks and have great days! Terr
