I just want some confirmation on this, but... was it that the panel gaps (in the rear in particular) were quite large? A late 1960s and 1970s thing?
I should have take pics, but the rear center piece along the bottom of the glass has some rather large gaps at both ends.
Between the driver side interior quarter panel and the top panel... the gap is such that the top panel retaining screws are partially visible. I am not sure that there is anything I can do to adjust this...

If I understand where you mean, yes there is a fair gap there between the lower window trim piece and the quarter panel trim.
I placed some padding (foam) behind the quarter trim to bring the gap closer to fitting properly on mine.
That said, I've also swapped pieces so many times I forget which was the original ones for the car

I don't have a good picture of it but the screw head was showing some on both sides and here's how it looks now. Both sides are about the same and there's not much you can do abut the shape of the gap

Yes. I was thinking some foam padding too. But is seems to me, from factory the gaps were big ! Not too much that can be done in terms of tweaking. A really good job would entail extending panels and recovering with vinyl.
