Carpet recommendation for a '69 convertible?
Hi all,
I need to purchase new black carpet for my '69 convertible, and I am trying to decide between the offerings from ACC and Al Knoch. (I believe there is one other vendor who makes carpet, but I have heard that one is very unreliable and takes forever to deliver.) I found lots of opinions in old threads, but most of those are so old that I wonder if things may have changed.
Has anyone done a RECENT carpet install who can comment on the quality and fit of either vendor's carpet? Before I make a purchase, I figured I should ask on here to see if one is significantly better than the other.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I replaced the carpet in my 77 with ACC carpet. Quality and fit are very good. I just purchased carpet for my 68 convertible, but I haven’t installed it because my car is still at the body shop. I ordered it from Willcox and it was drop shipped from ACC and showed up at my home within five business days. No complaints on the cut pile for the 77 and I expect the 80/20 loop will be similar in quality and fitment.

I installed loop carpet from ACC in December. The rear wheel humps are a pain. Read Willcox install instructions. One forum member put his hump carpet in the car in the summer, while at work, so when he came home the carpet was nice and flexible. Also use a pencil soldering iron in to make your holes.
