I didn't notice anyone mention this in their conversions postings, but in my 75, I have the reverse lock, steering column lock,,,, the new Tremic from SST doesn't use the cable, so I thought I would share my simple fix,,, it's just stuff , found laying around in my shop, but worked sweet,,,,, Drove about 30 miles with new 5spd,, WOW, what a differnt car,, I luv luv luv the change,,,, best upgrade so far,,,

Nice fix!! I did mine the hard way-- pulled the lever up, and hit it with a MIG welder. Just a little tack weld, but the lever is going to stay right there..

Ironically, I just made a similar part on my lathe and mill on Tuesday. I modeled it in solidworks, 3D printed a test part, and then turned and machined one out of some scrap aluminum I had laying around the shop. The threaded rod idea would have been a lot easier method. Nice job.
