Default NCRS Shipper Report

I just got back the NCRS shipper report on my 1969 Corvette. It has C2 (October 2nd, 1968) build date on the door tag. It was delivered to Hamilton Chevrolet in Warren Michigan. The official shipping date is not listed on the report. Has anyone else had that issue? I have gotten several reports from them in the past and have not seen that before.

why would you consider October 2nd, 1968 a C2 build date? The 1969 cars were on the showroom floor in September 1968.

My understanding of the trim tag is that for 69 cars A is for August, B is September, and C is for October. The number beside the C on my tag is 02. So Build date of October 2nd.

I understand what you're saying and you are correct. I think there was just a bit of confusion with the "C2" mistaken as in 1963-67 models.

My NCRS shipping info also didn’t have a ship date. Production Date for my 73 October 12th 1972 shipped to Hory Chevrolet in Larchmont NY..

Sorry for the confusion didnt know you were referring to a date code versus the second generation of Corvettes.

The NCRS records are not 100% complete. At the least, you know where it went and you know it went sometime after October 2.

...my '68's shipping report didn't have a date either, but it also originally came from Michigan. Was Grosse Point(Ted Ewald Chevrolet).
