It cools off at night though? I would take that. In Texas during the summer it's "cools" off to 92 at night.

Default It Is HOT!

I live in the Austin area we had heat indices of 110-114 this week.
I'll drive her all day now that my cooling system is working correctly. She runs 180-185 all day in any situation.

AC was replaced with all new parts when the engine was out.
She will freeze you out. Even in this heat.

I live in Yuma, Az. slightly hotter than Phoenix most days. Morning drives are great with the top off and moving, but come the afternoon, it can get a bit warm. I have the heater core deleted, and removed the A/C so it can get a bit toasty sitting. Once I replaced the radiator with a DeWitt's aluminum and added the electric fans, they kick on around 195. During our last 112 degree day, the engine never crept over 200 sitting in traffic, although I think i might have lost a gallon of "coolant" to my shirtback.

Another Texan who drives year round. No AC. No problem with engine temp. I was going to put in AC while I had the interior out, but the wife called me a wuss ("wuss" is a nice version of the term she actually used ), so I spent the money on something else. I avoid congested areas/times, and as long as you're moving a brief summertime shower mostly blows over the cabin. We're fine on a 100* day. But you do have to keep hydrated. We don't melt on a hot day and the car isn't soluble in water.

I have factory AC that works properly. It makes it bearable in 100 degree weather, but not especially comfortable.
