Man I must be real stupid because I'm not finding what I need.
The metric wire sizes in the '81 wiring diagrams are confusing me some.
I have a 3.0 which I'm replacing with a 12ga wire. Is this the same size as the 3.0 or bigger?
There are some .8 and 1.0 that need to be replaced as well. What gauge sizes should I use in those replacements?
Stranded or solid doesn't matter as far a size goes since it's total cross sectional area, stranded is more flexible and the more strand, the more flexible, like those headphones (before bluetooth) that had a zillion little tiny strands so super flexible

The "theory" behind the small stranded wire was AC current (speaker sound transmission) at very high frequencies, solid conductor wire shows increased impedance due to eddy current forcing the current to the outside, aka the skin effect. So the sales pitch was tons of small wires and it'll sound better...
Yeah I've never been able to pump enough power through any of those ultra fine wires to get anything on the scope but the math certainly looked good... maybe in something outside of audio or for the doggo but when we played with them on the bench (this was back when the monster cable type wiring first came out)
Now days I'm just happy I can still hear anything
